A regular meeting of the Latin American psychological seminar. ‘Child psychology: up-to-date approach’

On June 22, 2021, a meeting was held on problems of the psychology of modern childhood in the framework of cultural-historical psychology. The event was organized by the Specialized University of America UDELAS in Panama, the Agrarian University of Havana "Fructuoso Rodríguez Pérez" in Cuba, the Faculty of Psychology of the Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Psychological Institute of the Russian Academy of Education, as well as the Russian Psychological Society and the Panamanian Association of Psychologists.

The event was opened by Francisco Javier Cedeño, Director of Strategic Communications at UDELAS, and Ricardo González Escartín, Dean of the Faculty of Social Education and Human Development at UDELAS.

Presentations were made by Doctor of Pedagogy, Associate Professor of the Agricultural University of Havana "Fructuoso Rodríguez Pérez" Brigitte Niebla Suzarte, and Myrna Vázquez de Guevara, lecturer at the UDELAS Specialized University of America, and representing Russia, Alexander Veraksa, Head of the Department of Educational Psychology and Pedagogy at the Faculty of Psychology of the Lomonosov Moscow State University, Deputy Director of the Psychological Institute of the Russian Academy of Education, Vice President of the Russian Psychological Society, Full Member of the Russian Academy of Education spoke about the results of longitudinal and population studies within the framework of the "Growing Together" project.

The seminar organization was held with Deputy Director of the Psychological Institute of the Russian Academy of Education Alexander Veraksa, junior researcher at the Psychological Institute of the Russian Academy of Education Apollinaria Chursina, Director for Internationalization and Technical Cooperation of UDELAS Luis Enrique Torres, Coordinator of the Department of Academic Events at UDELAS Elizabeth Pérez, Director of the Department of Psychology at UDELAS Aelén López.

The seminar was attended by over a thousand colleagues - psychologists from Argentina, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia, Cuba, Panama, Venezuela, Angola and other countries.
